There is no right or wrong way to be feeling at the moment. Go gently.

Jody Drechsler recalls the horror of the Lobethal bushfire. Jody and her husband Graeme were at friend Craig’s house at Kenton Valley which seemed both serene and safe when, within minutes, fire came over the ridge: ‘I realised what a serious situation we were in!’

Our nurses. Our heroes. Thank you to our wonderful nurses who look after us when we’re most vulnerable. #ind2020
@anmf_sa Today, May 12, is International Nurses Day and the birthday of nursing pioneer Florence Nightingale who was born 200 years ago. The ANMF (SA Branch) congratulates nurses for their tireless and courageous efforts and the important contributions they make to our world everyday.
Even the strongest relationships may suffer through times of great stress. Keeping communication open and honest as best we can is always important, but perhaps even more so at this time.
‘Coronavirus lockdown: can nature help improve our mood? The answer is yes, it can.
Even a brief nature fix - 10 minutes of wind brushing across our cheek, or the sun on our skin - can lower stress.
Connecting with nature can help us feel happier and more energised, with an increased sense of meaning and purpose, as well as making tasks seem more manageable.’ Check out this @bbc story:

‘The damage and personal losses on KI are unimaginable...’
Rick Hinge and his wife, Lynette, spent two weeks volunteering on Kangaroo Island, rolling up damaged fences and listening to local residents.

Do you agree? @bbcwomanshour 💜 Hands up who's missing their friends right now? 🖐 .
.
While Zoom marathons 👩💻 quizzes ✅ online dinners 🍝 cocktails🍸 and even the good old fashioned phone call 📱☎️ might be helping, we REALLY can't wait to hug our favourite people and see their faces IRL 🤗 .
.
How are you and your friends keeping in contact during the lockdown? 👋 Tag someone you're thinking of today or share this with the friends you can't wait to hang out with. 👭👯♀️

And big thanks to Phoebe Waller-Bridge for this lovely tribute to female friendship 💜☝️
Back to work! For some of us that means walking three metres to a table at home. And yes, dogs bark, kids are noisy and toddlers crash online meetings. But there are good family times too - and no commute!
Do you #WFH? How are you going? #covid19 #inthistogether
#ANZACDAY2020 Bridgewater: A lone bagpiper plays Amazing Grace at dawn. Kookaburras join in as locals stand alone in their driveways. Never more connected, despite isolation.
Thanks to Amelia Traino for this poignant video. #AnzacDay #respect
#StandAtDawn #isolationlife
From country towns to metropolitan streets, South Australians arose at dawn and held candlelight vigils in their driveways and on dirt roads. Kookaburras and green parrots were heard and some neighbours played The Last Post. On this unusual #ANZACDay, we are isolated but strongly united in spirit as we remember those who served and sacrificed. #StandAtDawn #LightUpTheDawn #lestweforget
Trying to work from home with kids? We are (or at least trying to) too. It's important to set realistic expectations and not compare yourself with the homeschooling 'inspo' social media gurus. Take this time as a great opportunity to connect, and maybe watch a few episodes of Bluey together.

We’re seeing so much kindness and compassion, as well as clever innovation. We also have more time. Does a kinder, better world await? #COVID #silverlinings #inthistogether
Posted @withregram • @humanservicessa All South Australians with cold or flu symptoms will be able to access COVID-19 testing as part of a two-week testing blitz. For more information follow @sahealth_
Our sincere thanks to our amazing health care workers, emergency services workers, police, teachers, cleaners, supermarket staff and every single essential worker for keeping us safe and maintaining some normality.
Virtual hugs also to their families and friends for so generously sharing them!
We applaud and celebrate you all.
Have we missed anyone? Please let us know and we’ll thank them too.
