Students at Lake Windermere Primary School in Salisbury North, South Australia, practise mindfulness every day for 10 minutes and the school community hasn’t looked back!
The school reports a significant drop in behavioural issues needing front-office intervention as students intentionally choose kindness and optimism in their lives and change impulsive actions to thoughtful responses. SA Mental Health Commissioner Chris Burns paid a visit to the school and Year 2 students Zaid, Harmonie, Kobi and Arwen generously explained the benefits of mindfulness.
